Our Ministries
The ministries of our church are our life blood. Often ministry is viewed as the responsibility of pastors, elders, and church officers, but the Bible is clear. Each christian has a unique, God-given role to play. In a healthy church, each member is actively involved in some form of service.
Ephesians 2: 18-20 reads, "For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone." As fellow citizens we are to play an active part in the spreading of the good news of Jesus Christ through all the world and in every aspect of our lives we are to exemplify his love for mankind and his great longing to be joined with us.
The ministries of the church were created as a way to use the body of the church to fill every area of the church. Whether we have a title or not, we are all part of the body and since the body is incomplete without all of its members, we cannot function properly without everyone working together.
